Focus Point study: Cross-industry representative survey on the state of e-mail security in German companies

The use of digital technologies confronts companies in many ways. On the one hand, it offers potential such as accelerated processes and location-independent collaboration; on the other hand, risks can arise.

One risk is growing cybercrime and the associated damage to companies. Email inboxes are the primary target of criminals. But how important do companies consider the protection of their own email inboxes? Where do they see an acute need for action in terms of email security? And to whom do companies entrust the operation of email security?

To answer these questions, the Focus Point study surveyed 201 decision-makers or people significantly involved in the decision-making process about their assessment of email security, the need for action, but also the requirements for cloud-based email security. 201 employees from small to large companies from all industries took part in the survey in January 2022.
