Adjustment of the CSM interface to the D-Trust trust center

27.09.2022|last modified:19.08.2024

For many years, NoSpamProxy has had a direct connection to the trust center of D-Trust, a subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei. Until now, this was solved via the CSM email interface. With version 14.0.2 of NoSpamProxy, we have now completed the switch to the significantly more modern CMP interface.

For our customers, this means that certificates can be issued even faster and more reliably. With a follow-up version we will also implement the function of so-called follow-up certificates. This will credit the applicant with the time that he or she is still entitled to at the time of certificate renewal until the actual expiration date. The function therefore only comes into play if a certificate already exists from D-Trust and this is now to be extended.

For example, if a certificate is valid from October 16, 2021 to October 15, 2022 and NoSpamProxy submits the extension of the same already on October 1, 2022, the new validity period will not end on September 30, 2023 as before, but on October 14, 2023. It will then have a total validity of 1 year and 14 days.

Migrating the interface - what you need to do now

In order for the migration of the interface to be carried out, the administrator needs a new soft token from the CSM portal of D-Trust. This certificate must be configured in the new interface in order to apply for the email encryption certificates.
