In addition to bug fixes and general changes, our development team has implemented the following new features:
ARC signing
With the new update, ARC signing can be used in NoSpamProxy Server. Authenticated Received Chain (ARC) ensures the authenticity of emails and is closely linked to SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Each intermediate station that verifies an email with regard to SPF, DKIM and DMARC and adapts the header of the email accordingly also signs its own results with an ARC entry. If the email is sent to the next server via redirection or forwarding, this server must also verify all ARC information of the intermediate stations according to the RFC.
From now on, NoSpamProxy Server will perform ARC signing, whereby both a list of signers curated by NoSpamProxy and ARC signers added by the user can be used.
NoSpamProxy Server now performs ARC signing.
Archive connector
Archive connectors can now be set more granularly via archive profiles so that emails can now be archived better.
Archive profiles enable the granular setting of archive connectors.
Pseudonyms for system mailboxes
NoSpamProxy now supports pseudonyms for certificates for system mailboxes. NoSpamProxy Server thus fulfills the latest baseline requirements of the CA/Browser Forum.
DSNs pass through rules
Delivery Status Notifications (DSNs) are now subject to the rules in NoSpamProxy Server. As DSNs are sent without information in the MAIL FROM and the sender only appears in the header FROM, DSNs could not previously be verified by the recipient.
Processing by the set of rules now allows a DKIM signature to be applied, making it possible to trace the system from which the respective DSN was sent.
Important discontinuations and changes
Setup blockers are still implemented for the following system configurations:
- SQL Server older than 2016 Service Pack 1
- SQL Server Express older than 2022
- Windows versions lower than 10 version 1607
The following functions will be discontinued with version NoSpamProxy Server 16.0:
- Certificate provider SSL Plus
- TCP Proxy in its old form (activated via the configuration file)
