Net at Work GmbH, the manufacturer of NoSpamProxy, is presenting a new product at it-sa for the simple consolidation and analysis of reports that mail servers send as result reports in accordance with the IETF standard DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance). The product is called 25Reports – a play on words with the port 25. It allows the consolidated evaluation of DMARC reports with the aim of monitoring the deliverability of the emails sent and checking your own configuration and reputation as a sender.
DMARC reports are a valuable feedback mechanism
DMARC reports show domain owners how their emails have been processed by recipients and how their DMARC policy is being implemented. These reports are usually sent daily by the recipient to a specified email address at the sender. Aggregated reports (RUA) provide XML-based email authentication metadata such as the number of emails sent, their authentication results and sender IP addresses. Error reports (RUF) contain detailed information about emails that have failed DMARC authentication, such as sender and recipient addresses, subject, sender IP and authentication results. However, the latter are considered critical in Europe for data protection reasons.
25Reports simplifies the analysis
Manually analyzing the large amount of data in DMARC reporting is tedious and requires a lot of detailed knowledge. The new 25Reports makes this process much easier: the incoming XML data from the individual reports is aggregated and can be analyzed with the help of tools. This makes it possible to identify whether all mail servers in the organization are covered by the defined sender reputation guidelines such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC. The deliverability of the mails sent is also monitored. This allows gaps in your own configuration to be closed and the policies to be gradually made more restrictive without the risk of important recipients not being reached. In this way, the security and deliverability of your own emails are constantly improved.
Furthermore, 25Reports allows you to identify misuse of your own domain for phishing, spam and other cyberattacks. This allows additional countermeasures and, if necessary, legal action to be taken.
„With NoSpamProxy 25Reports, we make it easy to analyze DMARC reports. This allows you to quickly improve the delivery rates of your own emails and protect your reputation as a sender. At the same time, optimized settings protect not only yourself, but above all your customers, suppliers and other communication partners.“
The new product is offered as a cloud service and can be used on its own or integrated into the NoSpamProxy email security suite for additional benefits. Licensing is based on the number of monitored domains and the number of emails per month. Interested parties can get a preview of the product at it-sa in hall 7, stand number 7-429.
