Expiry of the licence for the Core Antispam Engine

On March 15, 2025, the licence for the Core Antispam Engine expired for some customers. In some cases, this resulted in temporary rejections of emails.

Users of NoSpamProxy Server with only the ‘Integrated Malware Scanner’ enabled experienced temporary rejections of emails.

The problem was resolved on the same day by a global licence update from NoSpamProxy. All customer systems with version 14.2 or higher automatically downloaded the updated licence within 24 hours.

Customers with versions lower than 14.2 (which are no longer officially supported) cannot fix the problem directly. We ask these customers to perform an update. In difficult cases, our support offers assistance in finding a temporary solution.

Customers with a second malware scanner in their configuration are not affected and have not noticed any impact. We generally recommend activating a second malware scanner in NoSpamProxy.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these events. We are currently investigating how the problem could have occurred to ensure that such behaviour cannot happen again.
