32Guards Research Note: Current trends in email attacks
The combination of indicators offers additional protection.
Email attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and harder to detect. Our latest research note shows this very clearly. Across the board, attacks are becoming increasingly professional thanks to more automation and the use of generative AI, for example for better texts in spam emails. A single indicator is often no longer sufficient to reliably detect a spam email. In this research note, we therefore explain the importance of combining different indicators and highlight patterns that we see time and again in our data.
As always, there is a particular focus on email traffic in German-speaking countries, which makes the assessments and specific recommendations particularly valuable for all email administrators and other IT security managers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland – regardless of which email security products they use.
